As a relative seasoned traveler, I almost always feel the anxiety and rush before a trip. I have a good life! I am blessed with many friends and supportive family. I live comfortably in a peaceful environment, and have the freedom to do almost anything, but yet I am almost always planning the next trip weeks after returning home!
You see, I am hooked. I am in awe of this world God has created. I marvel at the diversity of the land, the different plants and animals and especially the cultures of His people. But lately among this diversity, I am finding comfort in the commonalities.
More often than not, I bring home the awareness that God made us more alike than different. We all have the people we love as a priority, we yearn to provide for them, and often have interruptions in our lives to work around. I also have discovered that we all have misconceptions about the people we don't know!
So as I travel again, I will be excited to see a new continent, oh and ah at wild life and plants, and enjoy foods and people. But I do believe that whether I am in my home town or a world away, God wants us to see all the people of the world as He sees the.....The same in His eyes.
